In compliance with No Child Left Behind, Midlothian Independent School District provides supplemental instruction through its Title I, Part A program. The purpose of this program is to ensure that all students, particularly low-achieving students have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments. In grades K-5, MISD provides supplemental instruction to struggling students in the areas of reading, math or science (varies by campus.)

Title II funds are utilized in the area of professional development for teacher and principal training and recruitment, as well as to integrate technology into the classroom. Bilingual and ESL programs are supplemented with Title III funds. District-wide drug awareness and prevention education is covered by local funds.
