BOARD APPROVES APPLE LEASE AGREEMENT FOR 1:1 INITIATIVE
Midlothian, TX, March 3, 2017 - On March 2, 2017, the Midlothian Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the $6.6M Apple Lease Agreement by a 5-0 vote.
Lease details include a four-year low interest payment schedule, devices for students and staff members, professional learning services, program engineering, program management as well as trade-in value for current devices.
In November 2016, the Midlothian ISD school board approved by a vote of 7-0, to authorize the negotiation of lease terms with Apple Professional Systems and set aside the first year’s payment of $1.7M from fund balance for the one-to-one student device program, M*Powered. Moving forward, payments will be budgeted using the previous year’s payment amount plus costs for student and staff growth.
Midlothian Independent School District serves more than 8500 students in grades Pre-K-12.
