All MISD Schools Receive TEA Accountability Highest Rating Of "Met Standard"
The Texas Education Agency released 2016 accountability ratings for public schools and districts across Texas. The ratings are based on student results and progress on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) taken this past spring in grades 3-8 and at the end of specific courses in grades 9-12 (EOCs).
Midlothian ISD and all campuses have achieved a Met Standard accountability rating. The TEA rates schools as Met Standard, Met Alternative Standard, or Improvement Required. The ratings are based on student achievement, student progress, closing performance gaps, and postsecondary readiness.
In addition to an overall Met Standard rating, each campus is eligible to earn distinctions in seven specific academic areas. MISD had six campuses that achieved a total of eleven distinctions.
