Road to Graduation-Class of 2020
Dear Senior Parents/Guardians,
Thank you to those who were able to attend the Senior Parent Meeting this evening.
Here is the link to the slideshow for reference. Please feel free to contact me, Mrs. Gomez or Mrs. Thomas with any questions that you may have.
Thank you for your support and partnership as we head into the final chapter at Heritage High School for the Class of 2020!
Tips & Tools
Please pay close attention to your academic progress. We are nearing the end of the semester, so time is running out to improve your grades. You are so close to the finish line. Stay focused and keep communicating with your teachers. You can do this!
Once you have applied for admission at a university, view their scholarship tab on their website to determine if you are eligible for any of their university-specific scholarships.
To search for other scholarships, view the "Scholarships" tab on the left.
Local scholarship opportunities will be posted at the start of the Spring semester.
By the time you graduate, you will need to have logged 10 hours of community service that was completed within the four years you were at Heritage. You may start logging these hours now. Check out the "Resources" tab to the left and select "Community Service." There, you will see some suggestions for where you could complete service hours. Be sure to print a community service form, get it signed by your non-parent supervisor, then turn the form into your counselor.
Remember, most anything that is non-paid, non-required, and takes place outside of the school day may count toward your community service requirement.
Scholarship & Awards Night
Seniors that receive an invitation will be recognized for various scholarship offers.
Please submit copies of all award letters, scholarship offers, service awards, athletic scholarships, financial aid award letters, or any other documented honor received to Mrs. Thomas. Your submission of an award letter will add your name to our list of participants.
For recognition planning purposes, the deadline to turn in award information is Friday, May 1, 2020.
Students should submit copies of all award letters, even if the student will not attend the college, by coming by the College & Career Center or submitting a google form here
