Mr. Ryan Timm

Parents, grandparents, family, friends and anyone else reading this message, WELCOME TO THE 2019-2020 school year! I know you're all probably tired of hearing me say how excited I am for the year, but I've got to say it again, I'm so excited for this school year! I want to tell you all a little about myself so you can all know where my passion for learning comes from. I earned my bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science at Texas State University and my master’s degree in education administration from Tarleton State University. My education career began in Austin ISD as a physical education specialist and after two years there I came back home and joined Midlothian ISD in 2009. For my six years in MISD I was a physical education specialist and later an English Language Arts and Reading teacher at J.R. Irvin Elementary. In 2015 I left to be the Assistant Principal at Jack Taylor Elementary in Burleson and was promoted to Principal in 2016. My wife and I have two children that we are lucky enough to raise in this wonderful city and I am ecstatic to be back with MISD again and continue to show how #MISDProud I am.

My passion and "why" for what I do all boils down to relationships. It is my goal to build a strong relationship between our campus and our families. Please know that I want to hear from you and talk to you every chance there is. You will see me every morning and every afternoon in the car line, those are two of my most favorite parts of the day! I will give you a date soon for our first "Timm Time" meeting so we can begin to all get to know each other. If you ever have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to reach out! You'll hear me say it hundreds of times, it takes a village to raise a child, and I'm so glad to have you all as a part of my village.
