MISD Board Approves Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction

At the July 19 Board meeting, Midlothian ISD’s Board of Trustees approved Becki Krsnak as the executive director of curriculum and instruction.

“Ms. Krsnak has done a wonderful job fostering relationships among our teachers, students, families and staff members,” Dr. Jo Ann Fey, Superintendent of Schools, said. “She will help us continue the great work in our classrooms and inspire the next generation of leaders.”

“It is my honor to not only be promoted in this district that is my family, but to have the opportunity to impact and serve the entire district of students, teachers, administrators, and community,” Becki Krsnak said. “After working with so many districts in the state throughout my career, I know this is the best district in our state, and it’s my passion to make it even better and let everyone see what an amazing district this is for students to reach their unlimited potential!”

Ms. Krsnak has 28 years of experience in public education, beginning her career as an elementary classroom teacher. She has also served in the University Texas System, Texas Education Agency, and the University of Texas at Austin. She has a strong focus in literacy from birth to grade 12, joining Arlington ISD as the Texas literacy initiative project manager in 2012 and the state literacy liaison for the University of Texas at Austin in 2015. Ms. Krsnak joined Midlothian ISD in 2016 as a director of curriculum and instruction, and she currently serves as the director of elementary learning for MISD. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas Wesleyan University and her master’s degree in education from Texas Wesleyan University.
