With the recent retirement announcement of Deputy Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction Judy Walling, Midlothian Independent School District announced today a restructure to continue providing a robust support system to teachers and staff. This new structure will go into effect on Monday, January 4.

Shelle Blaylock will serve as Senior Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Under her leadership, MISD students have earned more than 900 CTE certifications.

With the naming of Dr. Courtney Carpenter as Interim Superintendent,  she will serve in this role until the MISD Board of Trustees has appointed a new district superintendent. Following the Interim Superintendent role, Carpenter has been named Assistant Superintendent of Administration.
