Fine Arts

Education and engagement in the Fine Arts is an essential component in the educational development of every student in Midlothian ISD.

Midlothian ISD provides a high quality fine arts education that is designed to support academic, social emotional, and creative development. This goal is achieved through providing a wide range of learning experiences and performance opportunities.

Fine arts education in Midlothian ISD begins in PreKindergarten and continues through the high school years. Each PreK-5 elementary school classroom is staffed with certified, degreed art and music specialists. Students are provided the opportunity to explore visual art, music and movement on a rotating basis.

Beginning In the sixth grade, students may choose from band, choir, dance, visual arts and/or theatre as their fine arts course, and many students may have the opportunity to choose two or more fine arts courses.
