Random Drug Testing
At Midlothian ISD we aim to provide a safe and conducive learning environment for every student. The safety and well-being of our students is always the top priority for our administrators, principals and teachers. In an effort to help our students make wise and healthy choices, as well as reduce peer pressure to use illegal substances, the district has reintroduced and refined its random drug testing policy. This new policy went into effect beginning in the 2018-19 school year.
Dear Parents of High School Students,
As you may be aware, Midlothian ISD has a mandatory random drug testing program for students in 9th - 12th grade who wish to participate in school-sponsored extracurricular activities and/or request a permit to park their car on school property. The goal of this program is to help our students make smart and safe choices. To learn more, join us at our upcoming orientation on August 13, 2020 at 7:00pm via a Zoom webinar. We will cover the program, what happens if a student has a positive test result and answer any questions you may have. Attendance is not mandatory, but we highly encourage you and your student to join us for the orientation.
