MISD Board Names Ryan Timm as T.E. Baxter Elementary Principal

Midlothian ISD’s Board of Trustees approved Ryan Timm as the new T.E. Baxter Elementary principal. Currently, Timm serves as the principal of Jack Taylor Elementary in Burleson, Texas.

“We are excited to welcome Mr. Timm as the new T.E. Baxter Elementary principal,” Dr. Lane Ledbetter, superintendent of schools, said. “He leads with a student-first mindset and inspires excellence in his students, teachers and staff.”

“I am a longtime resident of Midlothian and excited to be a part of the great things MISD has been doing and will continue to do,” Ryan Timm said. “I’m looking forward to meeting and getting to know all of the students, families and teachers at T.E. Baxter, and I’m excited to begin building strong relationships with our students so they can reach their highest potential each day.”

Timm earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science at Texas State University and his master’s degree in education administration from Tarleton State University. He began his career in education in Austin ISD as a physical education specialist and joined Midlothian ISD in 2009. He served as a physical education specialist and later an English Language Arts and Reading teacher at J.R. Irvin Elementary. In 2015, he became the assistant principal at Jack Taylor Elementary, and in 2016, he was named the school’s principal.
