During this time where information is ever-changing, our goal is to keep you informed and we are now providing weekly district updates via Zoom and Facebook Live. Beginning at 12:30 p.m. today, I will host our first community update covering COVID-19, information about this evening’s community engagement opportunity, and a quick note about the 2020-2021 school calendar. To be respectful of your time, these weekly updates will be 5-7 minutes in length but full of important information for you as parents and community members.
I would also like to remind you about the Community Engagement opportunity this evening at 6:30 p.m. With the predictions of COVID-19 spiking in the fall, schools must plan now to prepare for another shift to a unique learning model whether that is a hybrid distance learning model or unique format to meet every child’s individual needs.
As we plan for another possible disruption, we ask you - our community - your ideas and expectations on how we can continue inspiring excellence as we face these disruptions and prepare our students for their future in an evolving world. We invite you to join this conversation tonight from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on the MISD Facebook page or Zoom meeting, whichever platform is most convenient for your viewing.
You can join this evening’s community engagement opportunity by clicking this Zoom link or visiting the MISD Facebook page at 6:30 p.m.
You are an important part of the MISD decision-making process, and I look forward to seeing you at both of these informative sessions.
