Midlothian Independent School District

Social and Emotional Health

As we begin to prepare for the 2020-2021 school year with COVID-19 in mind, balancing the physical safety needs and social/emotional needs of our students remains top priority in Midlothian ISD.

In order to meet the social and emotional needs of our students, professional learning opportunities in trauma-informed practices and social emotional learning will be provided to staff. Ongoing Face-to-Face and Virtual Learning opportunities will be provided following the CASEL's core SEL competencies such as: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision-making.

Additionally, counseling support for students and staff will be provided in a variety of service options. Mentoring programs and community partnerships will be included to support the social/emotional needs of students.

This site contains videos, resource links, and much more for our parents and students as we partner in the social and emotional health of all.
